Public Miley Cyrus Tinkerbell Portrait
for the second of my Urban Nymphs, I used a photo of Miley Cyrus from her recent Cosmopolitan magazine shoot. it was a great photo, where not only did she look gorgeous, but showcased her very expressive features and body language. in this photo she has a sort of a grumpy expression, which as I’ve mentioned before, is one of the things I adore about Tinkerbell, so why not have her play the part.
I drew her on a two foot long piece of paper in ballpoint and put her up.

this is the drawing I did which I eventually transferred onto my Mr. and Mrs. Frankenstein’s Monster painting. I had it sitting around and I thought it would be fun to put it up somewhere, so I finally did.

Urban Nymph
this began as an anatomy practice sketch (since I rarely draw full bodies,I thought I should draw somebody head to toe), but rather than draw for myself, and keep the doodle in my sketchbook, I thought it would be more fun to draw in a larger scale, and celebrate the arrival of Spring by putting her up in public. this also gave me the idea to draw a fairy, which is something you don’t often expect to see in a modern, urban environment. she’s about two feet tall and done entirely in pen.

Sunset and Lucile, Silver Lake
i went back to this spot and put up my LosAngelust drawing.
though i’m glad it has stuck around this long, the San Andreas Girl that i pasted behind it has since become too discolored and vandalized, which gave me a good reason to revisit the location. -
